Statesboro, GA – D & R Intensive Car Care August Fundraiser
Starting August 1st , D & R Intensive Car Care will be donating a portion of every sale to the Boys & Girls Club of Bulloch County. This fundraiser will last throughout the entire month of August. Ray Driggers, owner of D & R Intensive Car Care, feels a strong need to give back to the community. “The Boys and Girls Club is a great asset to our community.”, stated Driggers. “They invest so much time and effort in helping the kids in our community, it’s an honor for D & R to help give back.” The initial goal for the fundraiser is $500. However, Driggers hopes to exceed that goal and quickly raise the goal. “I’d love to bring a significant check to the Boys and Girls Club at the end of this fundraiser. We are going to work hard to promote and we hope to get a good response from the community.”
D & R Intensive Car Care provides many different types of auto repair, and a portion the sales from every service and product will be included in the fundraiser. Oil changes, new tires, transmission repair, engine replacement, brakes, and computer diagnostics are just a few of the many services that will be eligible for the fundraiser. To keep the momentum going, there will be a scoreboard in the lobby of D & R that will show the progress. There will also be updates on the D & R Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DRIntensiveCarCare) and Twitter account (https://twitter.com/dandrcarcare2) throughout the month of August. D & R Intensive Car Care has been serving our area for the past 14 years. The Driggers family is very thankful to have a business in Statesboro, and hopes to be able to continue to give back to the community that fills their livelihood.
The Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County officially opened their doors in August of 2001. The club currently serves over 400 members on a daily basis. The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. What sets the Boys and Girls Club apart is their focus on youth-at-risk, and provides a positive setting for participants to grow academically as well as socially. Nearly 50% of B & G members are on the A/B honor roll and 99% graduate or are promoted to the next grade.
With this fundraiser, the sky is the limit. So, go by D & R, get your car serviced by the top technicians in the area, and raise money for our local Boys and Girls Club. Remember, it takes just ONE person to make a difference in the life of a child!
